Thursday's Racing 1st March.

Very tough Racing at Limerick and i dont believe in backing a horse unless its ran or ive got very good info that the horse is doing wonders at home but im going to change all that tomorrow. Im going to back a horse ive never seen, heard about or read about, a first time out in a bumper race. The Name of the Mare is Hollyoscar in the 5.35 Limerick.
The reason why im backing is (and by the way all im having is a point e.w with a view to having a bigger bet on the horse in the near future) is its relatives, shes Half sister's too Dakyns Boy who won 3 Bumpers including the Ballyhack Champion Bumper at Fairyhouse, Cullenagh Native who won 2 bumpers at Cork & Tippeary including beating Anxious Moments 10 lenghts, Hollys Pride who was placed in 3 bumpers(btn a sh hd in one of them), Castle Court who was placed in 2 Bumpers and 4th and 5th in its other 2, Give it Holly who only ran twice finishing 3rd in his first Bumper at Leopardstown(Bob What finished 2l behind in 4th) and winning its other at Leopardstown. So you can see why im gonna have a little flutter on it. I may be a million miles out but i think it'll be in the 1st 3

1pt e.w. Hollyoscar 5.35 Limerick.

Wednesday's Racing

Another disastrous month the horse just ran out of a place, tho i think he made too much use of the horse too early but saying that he should have been still good enough to nick a place. Ok onwards and upwards try and salvage something for Cheltenham. The Bumper Horse for Cheltenham is not running.(just my fecking luck)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DownPatrick today: Hunter Chase 4.40 If Ferney's Well jumps around he'll win it in a hack canter the rest are a moderate very moderate bunch if the ground had been a bt firmer i'd have giving Red Setter a big shout but it wont like todays going.

No bet today.

Febuary 27th

Capatilise 5.00 Lingfield was very unlucky 2 weeks ago when falling at the last at Musselburgh switches back to the Flat at Lingfield. Hes been beateing in 2 photo finishes in his last 3 starts and beaten only 4 lenghts in his other race at Wolverhampton.Hes only a 4 year year old so he'll be still improving and is in on a lightweight getting nearly a stone off his market rivals, a good Apprentice on it as well Jerry O'Dwyer whos rode 3 thirds in his last 4 rides hopefully can give us a winner today.
With its style off running if you have a Betfair Account you are better off just backing the place and waiting till their off to back the win because he'll go bigger in running, He'll be dropped out the back and wont start his run till about 4 out
.

5pts e.w. Capatilise 5/1 Generally... 6.6 to win 2.2 to place BETFAIR

ANTE-POST RACING

This day next month we'll know the majority of the big race winners and hopefully everyones in front going into Friday, well here goes heres my tupence worth.

The Gold Cup Kauto Star is a class horse that there is no doubt about, but hes started to get into the habit of thinking hes invinceble jumping fences hes got it into his head now that he can plough thru fences and stay standing, Cheltenham will have no mercy for horses like that one mistake and hell be gone, thats why its going to be the safe option for me with a horse whos been around Cheltenham a few time and has never falling in his career plus hes got the advantage of been a Gold Cup winner. War Of Attrition hasnt been doing this season what he is capable of doing and thats beating good Horses easy, tho i think the last day against The Listener with the ground totally against him Conor seem not too hard on WOA and he still was staying on. At the moment the ground is completly against him but with it bound to start drying out the conditions will play into his hands bigtime. He is a Gold Cup winner and wether or not Kauto Star is standing or not he'll not beat WOA up the hill.

5pts e.w War Of Attrition 5/1

The Champion Hurdle
My banker of the Meeting isn't preforming atall atall but i still haven't giving up hope on Iktitaf, N.Meade said the horse was ill in the AIG and that'll do for me he'll get one more chance but theres a horse in it whom i know his former trainer said would be a better hurdler then the previous Champion Hurdle he trained. Michael Stoute says that Sublimity will be a Champion Hurdle winner wether this year or not is open to debate but whatever he does he'll improve. You can only be but impressed the way he travelled on the bit at navan and he was coming back after a lay-off, granted he didnt beat much but it was the way he quickened like a 5 furlong sprinter after the last that was astonishing.
Hes in against the big boys now but all reports are saying this horse has improved a stone since Navan and even Stoute was saying last week this horse can and will be the real deal. Hopefully he can run a big race and shows how good he can be. It'll be his current trainer John G Carrs biggest day but if hes placed i hope its behind Iktitaf whom beat Sublimity 12 lenghts at Punchestown.
3 pts e.w Iktitaf 18/1 W.H.
1pt e.w Sublimity 25/1 W.H.

Saturdays Racing

Here we go full belt into Cheltenham, only a couple of weeks to the start of the flat season i think, or maybe its started already coz the powers to be keep changing when it offically starts.

A friend of ours who got us out of trouble when winning at 16/1 when having his first race in almost 2 years can do the buisness again tomorrow at 16/1 Appleaday is going to be a top class Chaser there is no doubt about that but in the meantime its on the flat he runs in the Bumper tomorrow at Chepstow if it was any other track i'd be saying we'll have a wee point e.w. but because its a proper galloping track and Appleaday has got speed to go with toughness it should suit him down to the ground. Paul Webbers horses aint been firing right lately but Benny can get him back to winning ways, tomorrows Race is as good as heat you will find before Cheltenham all the top stables are represented. Dickie Johnson replaces Johnny Kingston on the horse and i think the more rain the better, if he can stay with them early he'll have the pace to finish. The Bumper he won the 2nd and 3rd have come out and ran very well since without winning. Tomorrows ground wont be for weaklings and Appleaday has a big big shout of winning or been placed at worst.

5pts e.w. Appleaday will be around 16/1

THURSDAYS RACING

A poor January for the Ash camp. New Month and hopefully get into Profit quickly for 2007. Racing in Ireland is dire today but sure something's gotta win.
Oxpow Lakes 3.45 Thurles had the 3rd fav in todays race Brouge Lane 15 lenghts behind the last day the met so i cant see any reasons for a turn around in form there. Oxpow is Getting 15lb off the fav and in the softish ground thats a big weight to give away to a horse who ran a smashing race in his first Handicap against Conem . Its not a great field and surely he cant be out of the First four, I think its an e.w. steal at 6/1

5pts e.w Oxpow Lake 6/1 William Hill's,Bet365

A horse that a lot of people left there cash behind on the last day(why he was so heavily back is beyond me coz he was having his first run back in over 90 days) has a chance to recoup there loss today at Southwell. Nevinstown missed the break and ran out wide turning in but today if Tom can get him to break and keep him up with the first 5 he'll enjoy a better run turning in and it has a finishing kick to keep it in the first 3 at the line.
5pts e.w Nevinstown 2.50 Soutwell 7/1 Ladbrokes
